National Public School participated in 2nd International Yoga Day

First Batch of NCC Cadets & Bharat Scouts & Guides of National Public School, Morinda Road, Kurali participated in yoga camps organized to celebrate 2nd International yoga day on 21st June,2016. 25 NCC cadets along with ANO Ms. Harmanpreet Kaur practiced yoga at Shivalik Public School, Mohali and 30 Scouts & Guides accompanied by Mr. Pawan Kumar performed yoga enthusiastically at Ranjit Singh Park, Ropar.

It show cased the healthy life style habits that should be adopted by young generation. Management and Principal appreciated this healthy initiative of students and staff.


Investiture Ceremony 2016-17 at NPS

Investiture Ceremony was held in the school premises on 16 April 2016. The House Masters of all four Houses were introduced. The Captains and Vice Captains of the houses along with the Sports Captains and Vice Captains were announced and badges were given to them, thereafter oath was taken, in the presence of worthy Principal, Vice Principal, teachers and students. The School Management Committee and the Principal gave their blessings and congratulated the newly elected team and encouraged them to be more disciplined and maintain school decorum.

Two days orientation workshop on CCE was organised at National Public School, Kurali on 7&8 june,2016. CBSE resource persons held the workshop in the school campus.

This workshop was attended by the worthy principal along with the NPS teaching faculty. The purpose of this workshop was to enlighten the teachers more about trends of Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation.

The facilitators of the workshop-Mrs. Aruna Bhardwaj Mrs. Inderjeet Sandhu were full of zeal and bundle full of knowledge. They encouraged the teachers to adopt student centered approach with unique innovative skills. This added to the understanding of the classroom teaching, time management, self assessment and orientation of the mind with right attitude. Teachers were also guided how to develop ‘Thinking Skills, Emotional Skills and Social Skill’ amongst the student.

Teachers too actively participated in the activities, conducted during the workshop session and the learning became interesting and fun.

Overall this workshop had given handful experience of great learning of scholastic and co-scholastic areas to evaluate the students.

The workshop ended with the clarity on the concepts of CCE and vote of thanks given by the Principal.


Bharat Scouts and Guides Camp wrapped up today at NPS campus under the supervision and guidance of Mr Charanpreet Singh along with the school teachers Mr. Maninder Singh and Mrs. Neelam. This camp longed for four days i.e. 28th may, 2016- 31st May, 2016.

The programme started with ‘Welcome Clap’ of the participants of the camp which was followed by Scouts and Guides prayer.

Second day geared up with flag hoisting and NSS prayer. Students learnt about Lord Benetton, father of Scouts and Guides. Students got familiar with the history of Scouts and Guides. Students actively participated in various spare time activities and the day was ended with flag’s unfurling and flag song was sung too.

On the 3rd day a trip to Gosaian Temple was organised. Participants were provided with refreshments and were encouraged to keep their surrounding clean. Children also learnt train clap, rain clap and tracking

Last day arrived, the students were told about usage of first aid, step to be followed while providing first aid, according to the situation and the need. They were taught to prepare tea and making tent and decorate it. Students enjoyed last day of Scouts and Guides Camp.

Worthy Principal and Vice Principal appreciated the partakers and boosted them to play a part in such activities and learn various activities.



Independence Day Celebrated with Fervour

Students of National Public School, Kurali celebrated the 69th Independence Day with lot of enthusiasm and fervor. From the tiny tots to the senior classes, all were overjoyed and coloured in tricolors. There were various activities like speeches, songs, dances and plays which marked the day. Honourable Principal Ms. Devendera Mahal gave message to the students as well as the staff to remember the great Indians and take inspiration from their lives.

Tiny Tots of NPS enthralled with Presentation

The students of UKG of National Public School, Morinda Road, Kurali, presented a colourful presentation on various themes such as story, poem and dance etc. The activity show cased the talent of these tiny tots in abundance. The Principal not only appreciated the teachers efforts but also motivated the students for mass participation in such kind of activities in future.

Cool Pool Party of Tiny Tots of NPS

National Public School, Kurali organized a Cool Pool Party for Tiny Tots. With the efforts of the school co-ordinator and Kindergarten Teachers it was a refreshing experience for kids. The children splashed in the pool and enjoyed the rain dance. The Principal appreciated the enthusiasm of the students as well as the organizers and hoped for conducting the variety of activities in the future.

Investiture Ceremony



The annual function of National Public School, Kurali was held on 24th December, 2014. The occasion began with the lamp lightening ceremony by the founder chairman Mr. Ish Aggarwal. A Cultural Programme including Saraswati Vandana, Group Song, Group Dances Indian as well as Westeren, Performances and Chorography on various themes like Safai Abhiyan, Corruption, Domestic Violance, Definition of Family were presented by students of all the classes. Mr. Sahib Singh Vadali, the Guest of Honour applauded the students and staff for putting up a great show. Our founder chairperson Mr. Ish Aggarwal gave his blessings and Mr. Sushil Kaushal Member of Managing Committee presented the Vote of Thanks.

The Principal Ms. Devendera Mahal, presented the Annual Report and appreciated the students performances in not only the cultural activities but also Academics and Sports throughout the year. The cultural show Pastiche concluded with Folk dances Bhangra and Giddha by the senior students.


NPS Students performs on Parshu Ram Jyanti

The students of National Public School, Kurali participated in the celebration of Parshuram Jyanti at Parshuram Mandir, Singhpura Road, Kurali. The students of I, II and III mersmerised the audience with their presentation of “ Krishan Leela” on 20 April, 2015. All the students were appreciated for their confidence and enthusiasm and were given participation certificate.Madam Principal Ms. Devendera Mahal appreciated the children and the teachers, Ms. Veena & Ms. Ripanbir Kaur for their hard work and dedication.


Investiture Cermony held at NPS Kurali

The Investiture Cermony was held in National Public School, Kurali. First of all the house Masters were given the badges and were introduced on the stage. Then, Captains for houses were elected. The Vice Captains and Sports Captains for various houses were also elected. All the elected members introduced themselves in front of the whole school.

They were given their badges and duties were assigned to them. All the the elected members also took the “PLEDGE”. Madam Principal Mrs. Devendera Mahal appreciated them and motivated the elected students to fulfil their responsibilities faithfully throughout the session.


Farewell PARTY – 2014 – 15

The XII class of National Public School was bidden adieu by the school. The occasion was organized by teachers and students of XI. Various games and prizes were arranged for the outgoing XII class.

The Principal, Ms. Devendera Mahal wished them good luck for future and presented the titles to Mr. & Miss. NPS i.e. Harsimran singh & Himani and Mr. Handsome Gagan and Miss Gorgeous Amreen.

NPS Kurali Celebrated Independence Day by Planting 100 Trees.
On the eve of Independence Day, National Public School, Kurali organized a cultural programme in which students participated enthusiastically. The activities were not only entertaining but also informative. The celebration began with the speech, fancy dress, dance performances on various patriotic songs. Choreography on hanging of Bhagat Singh swayed the audience brought tears in their eyes. The culture of Punjab was celebrated through a Bhangra performance at the end. 
The student of NPS have set up an excellent example to the society by planting trees on the eve of Independence day.Some months back a number of trees had to be cut off from the number sides of Morinda – Kurali road as the road was being widened. This was a great loss for the mother earth and to compensate this loss the students of NPS thought of planting the saplings.
The worthy Principal Ms. Devendera Mahal encouraged the students to move forward with their mission to take care of the environment. She appreciated the efforts made by the students and staff members who organized such a multifaceted programme and also gave a message to the students to be responsible citizen of India.
NPS Celebrates Janamashtami.
 The school celebrated the birthday of  Lord Krishna through various cultural performances. The tiny tots of Kindergarten who were dressed up as the various mythological characters, looked very sweet. A dance performance on Yashomati Maya Swayed the audience. And above all choreography on Krishna Leela enthralled everyone. The worthy Chairperson, Management and Principal  applauded the students and teachers for conducting the programme which enlightened the children about the Indian culture and Lord Krishna.
NPS’ Handball Team 1st in District.
 NPS :- Handball team under 17, won the First position in District Handball Tournament 2014-15. Under 14, Girls Team got the 2nd Position in zonal Tournament.
10 boys and 4 girls of school have been selected for State level 2014-15.
The worthy Chairperson and Management congratulated the Principal for this achievement. The honourable Principal Madam Devendera Mahal and worthy Vice Principal Ma’am Jasbir Kaur congratulated the students and the D.P Teacher Mr. Pawan Kumar ,Mrs.  Bhupinder Kaur and Mr. Maninder Singh.


Rakhi Making competition held in NPS, Kurali
Raksha Bandhan is one of the important festival of India which signifies the bond of brother and sisters. To add importance to this day the students from Primary wing made Rakhis and celebrated the occasion. Children brought the various things from home such as ribbons, beads, flowers etc. The creativity shown by primary wing was commendable.


Inter House Competitions of Short Play Held in NPS, Kurali

The tiny-tots of NPS from standard I & II had participated in short play competitions on various themes. The Tagore house enacted a play on “Human Nature” and got first position. The Nanak house enacted a play on colours and got second positions. The whole show was anchored by Navdeep kaur and Arshpreet Kaur of Bhagat House. The students of I and II participated whole heartedly and were confident on the stage. Madam Principal Mrs. Davinder Mahal appreciated the efforts made by the children and teacher. Children really enjoyed being on stage and enacting the plays.

Global Cancer Concern 

Students as well as the school contributed funds for the global cancer concern for which they were given momentous, certificate and caps. Honourable Principal Mam Davinder Mahal and Vice Principal Mam Jasbir Kaur congratulated the students. Mrs. Kamaljeet Cheema, the class incharge of VIII class received a momento for the class with highest contribution. The students who had contributed the highest amount were given special momentoes I, II and III  Names:-          1.  Aasthra Sharma  (VIII Class), 2.  Navleen Kaur (V Moon) , 3.  Ravneet Kaur (VIII Moon). Our worthy management appreciated the efforts of the students and Principal congratulated them

NPS bags 1st and 2nd position in Sachdeva Group of Colleges
National Public School, Kurali has participated in competition of Rangoli, Mehndi and Folk dance held at Sachdeva Institute, Ghruan. The school got first position in Mehndi and second position in Folk dance competition.



Presentation by KG Wing Students of National Public School , Kurali 

KG – Wing students began the presentation by singing Gayatri Mantra. After that some of the students sang and inacted story based on Sher Aur Chuha , featuring rhymes named Sher ki baraat, God Bless Mummy, Madaari. In the end, some students played the characters of various fruits like orange, apple, mango including their features. The whole show was anchored by Mannat and Vaishnavi. Along with this the Primary wing students indulged themselves in 50m race.

Jatin  Batish  and  Karan  Grover  has  participated  in  Chess  tournament held at  Girls  School,  Ropar  Dated  12-07-14  and  13-07-14  on  district  level  and  secure  positions. 


Work Shop Conducted for Mother Teachers at NPS, Kurali

 National Public School Kurali recently conducted a workshop for Mother Teachers in the School campus by the expert Mrs. Vega Sharma. It lasted for 2 days. In the workshop major emphasis were put on mother teacher’s methodology of providing education to the tiny tots.

                   On the first day of the work shop Mrs. Sharma explained the role of a teacher and insisted on Innovative teachings. She focused on play way and conceptual Methods of teachings. To make learning interesting she emphasized on the Practices of giving project work to the students as H.W. She guided teachers to persue the Micro skills of teachings.

In the last segment of the workshop she boosted the confidence of the teachers. Mrs. Vega Sharma was appreciated with the vote of thanks amid applause.


NPS celebrates Motherhood


NPS celebrated Motherhood by conducting various competitions and activities with the theme ‘Mother’.Various activities were conducted in the school. In the senior wing, collage making competition was held and Nanak house won the first position.

In the Middle Wing, Choreography Competition was held, Raman House won the first position. In the Primary Wing, English Calligraphy was held and first position was won by Nanak House and Raman House and in Hindi Calligraphy Bhagat House won the first position.

Students  shown high caliber in their performance. Their Mentors and Monitors Were Mrs. RipanBir Kaur and Ms. Veena. The audience praised and appreciated the performance. The worthy Principal Mr. Satyendra Sharma and the Vice Principal Mrs. Jasbir Kaur appreciated and motivated the Students as well as teachers and distributed the momentous to the students during the morning assembly. This activity was sponsored by Gopal Hockey Academy. 


NPS Throbbed with energy and enthusiasm

 May 10,2014 various activities were held in NPS Kurali. Primary wing participated in the choreography Competition. Tagore house bagged the 1st Prize . Class decoration competition was held in the middle wing in which Raman house won the first position. Senior wing participated in the basket ball match in which Bhagat house won. The whole school enjoyed all the activities and motivated the participants.
